Hype Post – We Hunt the Flame

**Disclaimer, I have not read We Hunt the Flame or any spoilers about it.  I should be receiving a copy tomorrow from a preorder.  The following post is pure speculation on what I think I will like and dislike about it.**

Initial Thoughts

Gender bending assassins??  Tell me everything!  This description sounds amazing and it’s absolutely no wonder that this is one of the most anticipated YA releases of the year.  I will do whatever it takes to finish this one tomorrow (as soon as I get my copy).

Cover Art

I should be receiving three different covers for this book (not sure which will come first) but from what I’ve already seen, the covers are so pretty.  I love the color schemes and the typography.

Notes on the Dust Jacket

This story reminds me a lot of Aladdin.  Mission from the sultan to retrieve a magical artifact — am I right?  Also, there are some elements that remind me a little of Mulan.  Since Aladdin and Mulan are actually my number 1 and number 2 favorite Disney movies, this combo couldn’t be more perfect for me.

Final Thoughts

I haven’t even read this one yet and I know that waiting for the second book is going to kill me.  But, it will definitely kill me more to keep this beauty on the shelf unread while I wait for book number 2.  This is an absolute must read.  Must read immediately.  I’ll go to work on Wednesday like a total zombie if I must, but I am so pumped for this book.
