So I’m going to my first Book Con this year and I’m super excited. I’ve never been to any type of convention before. When I saw that Book Con existed, I had to get a ticket. I had to be a part of it. This is my hype/countdown/throw up all my excitement into writing post.
Things I’m Looking Forward To
- ARCs — All the advanced copies. Give them all to me and let me devour them so I can spread the hype/love to you, my dedicated readers.
- Meeting authors — some of my absolute favorite are going to be there and I can’t wait to meet them (and probably get nervous and be basically unable to speak). But, I’m so excited!
- Meeting fellow book lovers and book bloggers — I am new to this community and I am really interested in meeting fellow members of the book world.
- Going to New York City for something other than work. I work in midtown Manhattan and I want nothing more than to go there for something fun and not work related.
Taking a whole weekend to go means that I’ll probably have to do a lot of catch up writing but, I think know it will be totally worth it.
I can’t wait to tell my readers all about it! Look out for the posts starting on June 1, 2019!
We’re in single digits folks! I literally can’t contain my enthusiasm. I have been watching Youtube videos on what to bring and what to expect. I have my bag basically already packed (it’s mostly filled with business cards and snacks). And, I’m so amped! I’m toying with the idea of bringing my computer but I’m not sure. Will I want to blog while I’m there? Of course. Will I have time? Probably not (hopefully not). Will my laptop occupy precious space that could be better filled with ARCs and snacks? For sure. So, as it stands right now, I will not be bringing my computer. All updates will be seen on my Instagram page @books_over_everything or my Twitter feed @mk_books.
Am also really looking forward to BookCon!!
