Since today is May 4th, I wanted to do some recommendations based on the plots of the Star Wars series.  Please note, these will all be YA books.

Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones

In my opinion, this is the story of how Anakin and Padme fell in love.  While it is also somewhat of a political thriller, I want to focus on the romance that bloomed place that we never really expected.

  • The Night Circus by Erin Morganstern – Like Episode II, this is a story of two people who knew of each other their whole lives and should not have fallen in love.  But they did.
  • Hunter’s Truce by Elle Beaumont – this is another story of forbidden romance.  In this case, it’s the Big Bad Wolf and a princess but the general theme is the same.
  • The Traitor’s Game by Jennifer A. Nielsen – another story of unexpected romance.  This is more enemies to lovers but the principle is the same.
