Summer is in full swing where I live so I plan to really ramp up my reading.  Here’s what I’m currently working on.

Currently Reading:

  • Kingdom Soul by Brittni Chenelle (56%) <– I literally just started this one yesterday
  • The Evil Queen by Gena Showalter (13%) <– this is my new commuting audiobook.  I like it but I don’t love it yet.
  • Fortuna Sworn by K.J. Sutton (35%) <– I just started this one and I really like it so far.  It’s very different than Smoke and Key but I think it has a lot of promise and it shows how versatile Kelsey Sutton is as a writer.
  • The Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen (45/448 pages 10%) <– no progress
  • Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody (59/411 pages 14%) <– no progress
  • The Cursed Sea by Lauren DeStefano (51/400 pages 13%) <– no progress

Out of principle, I refuse to DNF the books in maroon above.  I don’t want to think of myself as a quitter.

  1. I liked the Evil Queen. Enough to buy it for my daughter who is doing an internship at WDW (seemed somehow appropriate) but it does have parts that I wasn’t as thrilled about. All-in-all, I thought it was a good story and I hope you enjoy it as well!

    1. I really liked the show Once Upon a Time and the plot seemed pretty similar. I like it so far but my only hang up is modern setting in the beginning. I think I’ll like it more when the setting changes.
