Here are the last four books I rates as ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (five stars).
- The Night Circus by Erin Morganstern – I loved this book. I avoided it for so long and I was so wrong to have done that. It was everything I wanted it to be and more.
- Beasts of the Frozen Sun by Jill Criswell – I received a free e-ARC of this one and I’m so glad. It was fantastic. So real, so complex, and an incredibly well designed start to a new trilogy.
- To Best the Boys by Mary Weber – I loved this one! I loved how Rhen was competing against the boys for a spot to study science and medicine in a society that doesn’t allow women to do that. I definitely know what it’s like to be in a field dominated by men so I was so pleased to read this story of a woman leveling the playing field.
- Dance of Thieves by Mary E. Pearson – Mary 👏 E. 👏 Pearson 👏 can do no wrong. Her writing is so beautiful and the way she develops characters through alternating first person POV writing always astounds me. I can barely think of what I want to say let alone becoming multiple characters in order to write one story. She’s amazing. Read everything she writes.
